Memorials and Monuments in Belgium
Across Belgium, there are certainly dozens, and perhaps hundreds, of historical markers and monuments to the Americans who liberated Belgium twice in the twentieth century. When you visit one of the cemeteries or one of the museums, ask the people who work there to point you to some markers or monuments in the neighborhood. Also, pay attention as you are driving down country roads in the Ardennes where the Battle of the Bulge was fought. You are likely to stumble along a monument along the way. Here are just a few:

AOMDA has a long-term goal of recording the location of all of the moments to American servicemen in Belgium. If you find one that isnt so well known, or is not on this list above, we would be grateful if you could tell us about it (i.e. where it is, who it is dedicated to, etc.). If it is possible, please also take a digital photo of the monument and send it to contact@aomda.org. We would eventually like to add this information to this website.
